Actor Jang Hyun Sung and sons to leave ‘The Return of Superman’

Following the recent announcement of actor Kim Jung Tae’s departure from popular KBS variety show ‘The Return of Superman’, it seems that actor Jang Hyun Sung will also be leaving the show.

According to earlier reports, the 43-year-old actor and his two sons, Jun Woo and Jun Seo, will be leaving the show, and will be making their final appearance in the episode airing June 29.

After much discussion with the production team, Jang Hyun Sung has decided to exit the show, in order to focus on his acting career.

The actor said, “In order for my children to concentrate more on their studies, and for me to focus on acting, I have decided to step off the show after discussion with the production team. I am grateful for receiving such great love and I will return my thanks with good acting.”

Recently, Jang Hyun Sung starred as a presidential guard in SBS drama Three Days, alongside JYJ’s Yoochun. He is also currently filming for a new movie C’est si Bon, which stars actor Joo Won and actress Han Hyo Joo as well.

‘The Return of Superman’ is a variety show that records the process of how celebrity fathers are left to care for their children alone for 48 hours, and begun broadcast on KBS back in September 2013. The show also features Epik High’s Tablo, host Lee Hwi Jae, and fighter Choo Sung Hoon (Yoshihiro Akiyama).

5urprise‘s Seo Kang Joon releaved his ideal type and how he maintains his abs in a BTS clip for “Cunning Single Lady“!

When asked what was most difficult while filming the drama, he replied “Besides the usual tiredness and sleep deprivation, filming was actually very fun, as my sunbaenims helped me a lot. I learned many skills in acting through them.” He also revealed that co-star Lee Min Jung had especially helped him with difficult acting scenes. He said “My sunbaenims taught me many important know-hows as a rookie actor.” When asked what the most memorable scene he filmed was, he replied that his confession dialogue to Lee Min Jung had remained deeply with him. He said, “Since it was my first skinship scene, and a back hug at that, it has become the most memorable for me I think.”

He also revealed his ideal type, saying, “Although I notice outer appearances at first, I especially notice how well I can communicate and relate with her. I would have to say that my ideal type is someone who I can converse well with.”

To the question “Are there any secrets behind your abs?”, he replied, “I used to exercise and work out frequently, but ever since filming for the drama, my abs have gradually started to fade away…” ending with an embarrassed laugh at the end.

He wrapped up the interview with the warmhearted comment,”Thank you to all those who watched ‘Cunning Single Lady’ and showed us a lot of love. From now on, I hope to show a better side of myself through future productions. I will strive to become a more progressive actor.”

Trailer For Upcoming Drama “Doctor Stranger” Released

As “God’s Gift-14 Days” wraps up its final episode this week, “Doctor Stranger” will be replacing its Monday-Tuesday time slot!

The drama will feature Lee Jong Suk as the main lead, followed by Jin Se Yeon, Park Hae Jin (any “My Love From the Star” fans?), and Kang So Ra. Lee Jong Suk will play Park Hoon, a genius North Korean chest surgeon, who flees to South Korea and starts working at the nation’s top hospital Dongwoo University Hospital.

So far, “Doctor Stranger” seems to revolve around a romantic, yet intense and serious storyline. Let’s look forward to more of the cast’s powerful acting skills!

The first episode is scheduled to broadcast on May 5th.

G-Dragon will visit MBC Everyone’s Weekly Idol upon Hyung-Don Jung’s request.

On October 31st, YG entertainment said, “Few days ago, Jung directly called G-Dragon and asked if he could join Weekly Idol, a TV show that he hosts. After the phone call, G-Dragon asked Mr. Yang on his thought and Yang told G-Dragon to accept the request right away.”

Weekly Idol is a talk show that invites different K-pop singers each week, but none of YG’s artists have made appearance yet.

YG also said, “Mr. Yang is a huge fan of Jung since ‘Gag Concert’. He watches almost every TV show that Jung is in including ‘Infinite Challenge’, and that’s why he accepted his request.”

G-Dragon and Jung became one of the most famous ‘couples’ since G-Dragon became Jung’s partner for Infinite Challenge’s annual concert. Therefore, many people are showing interest in this news and expecting another funny moments created by two of them.

IU said, “I will be joining Hidden Singer Season 2. I heard that many of the participants have same voice as me. On October 30th, Troublemaker opened stages for ‘There’s No Tomorrow’ and ‘Attention’ to the public through MBC Music’s Show Champion. Troublemaker and dancers started off the stage with the song ‘Attention’, and their flashy dance moves and voice were good enough to catch people’s eyes. Also, the stage was so cheerful and magnificent; it almost looked like a musical.

A stage for ‘There’s No Tomorrow’ dragged out sexiness of Hyuna and Hyunseung even more. They made high completeness of the stage with great performance, as well as good facial expression Also, they caught fans’ eyes by putting a kiss performance in middle of the song.

The song ‘There’s No Tomorrow’ delivers the story of young adults, who escaped from their everyday life, and they used the musical ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ as a motif. The special feature of the song is a dreamy composition of saxophone and string instrument. The music video was also an issue and it already made to over 5,000,000 hits.

DramaFever Co-Produces K-Drama ‘Heirs’ Starring Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye

DramaFever announced today it’s first-of-its-kind co-production deal with Hwa & Dam Pictures. The new drama called ‘Heirs’ is a 20 part series romantic drama. The première of which will be this week in the U.S, Canada and Latin America.

This highly anticipated drama stars Lee Min Ho (“Faith”, “Boys Over Flowers”) and Park Shin Hye (“Flower Boy Next Door”, “Heartstrings”). The drama follows elite high school students as they are groomed to inherit their family businesses, whilst dealing with the romantic ups and downs of high school students.

The international premiere of ‘Heirs’ will be broadcasted via SBS on October 9. Both SBS and DramaFever will share the airing of the episodes for 10 weeks.

Suk Park, DramaFever Co-Founder and Co-CEO said, “In the coming months, and certainly into 2014, we’ll be developing and co-producing more original made-for-web and broadcast-level programming. We’re thrilled to be partnering with such a prominent international production team like Hwa & Dam Pictures’ on our first move into original content.”

‘Running Man’ will be holding a star studded special episode for Chuseok.

The popular vareity TV show will be inviting 14 kpop idols to take part in this years Chuseok special, which is guaranteed to be some fun to watch.

The list of ideols that have been invited onto the show to take part are 2PM’s Chansung and Wooyoung, B2ST’s Doojoon and Kikwang, SISTAR’s Hyorin and Dasom, INFINITE’s L and Sunggyu, A Pink’s Na Eun and Eunji, Girl’s Day’s Minah and Sojin, and MBLAQ’s Lee Joon and Seungho.

The special episode will be aired in mid-September.
