Breaking news: Lee Seung Gi and Girls’ Generation YoonA are dating!
Earlier this morning (Jan 1), the news of the new celebrity couple emerged, when Korean news site ‘Dispatch’ released an exclusive report, along with several photos of the two on dates.
According to the tabloid, Lee Seung Gi was photographed on October 8, 2013, when he was returning from his concert in Japan. The singer-actor then seen picked up Yoona at an apartment in Samsungdong, Seoul, before driving off to the Han River vicinity, where they enjoyed an hour-long date. Lee was then seen dropping off the Girls’ Generation member back at her home, where she was also seen holding a bag, allegedly a gift from Lee.
Previously, rumours of the pair’s relationship surfaced when they were spotted on several occasions back in October and November. Reports have mentioned that the pair has been dating secretly since September.
Yoona’s management agency, SM Entertainment has also confirmed the news, and added that Seung Gi and Yoona are “in the beginning stages of knowing each other.”
A representative from Hook Entertainment (Seung Gi’s agency), also stated, “We’re not exactly sure of the details because it’s his personal life. They are at the beginning stages of dating, so please watch over them kindly.”
This news does not come as a surprise to many international netizens, as Seung Gi had previously mentioned that Yoona was his ideal type, when she guested on reality program Strong Heart, which he used to host.
