This year’s Governors Ball Music Festival (colloquially known as Gov Ball) will welcome the popular Korean boy group, P1Harmony, as the only K-Pop act scheduled to perform during the three-day event. The highly anticipated annual festival will once again take place at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in New York City – the iconic location it relocated to in 2023. From Friday, June 7 to Sunday, June 9, fans can enjoy a variety of performances from over 60 artists including Post Malone, Peso Pluma, Sabrina Carpenter, The Killers, SZA, and more across three stages.
The Governors Ball Music Festival began as a one-day event held on Governors Island in 2011 and has since expanded to a three-day event due to its growing popularity. Produced by Founders Entertainment, the New York City-based promotion company responsible for The Meadows Music & Arts Festival, the Gov Ball features local New York restaurants and food trucks each year. The festival also offers various art and culture-related activities and games throughout the festival grounds for all to enjoy. Aside from an amazing musical lineup, this year’s Gov Ball will also partner with numerous local community groups and nonprofits such as Chhaya, Elmhurst/Corona Recovery Collective, and the Alliance for Flushing Meadows Corona Park to support and give back to the Queens neighborhood through this extensive showcase of talent and diversity.
P1Harmony consists of members Keeho, Theo, Jiung, Intak, Soul, and Jongseob, and they officially debuted in October 2020 with their first EP, Disharmony: Stand Out. After subsequent releases of both Disharmony: Break Out and Disharmony: Find Out, they set out on their inaugural U.S. tour, 2022 P1Harmony LIVE TOUR [P1ustage H: PEACE]. Since then, they’ve added a few more EPs and singles to their discography amd completed another successful tour run with P1Ustage H: P1ONEER Live Tour in 2023. Recently, P1Harmony announced that they will once again return to North America with a new milestone in mind – their first-ever arena tour.
The P1Harmony LIVE TOUR [P1ustage H: UTOP1A] will bring the group through twelve cities across the country, beginning on May 14 with a stop at the iconic Gov Ball festival on Saturday, June 8.
