One of Korea’s breakout indie music stars, SURL, announced plans to tour North America this spring! On January 17, the band announced the 12-city concert dates through their social media.
Titled after their first full-length album [of us] released in October 2022, the ‘review of us’ tour kicks off on April 2 in Philadelphia and is followed by stops in Atlanta, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto, Somerville, and lastly Brooklyn.
While SURL is planning on expanding their global reach via this tour, it’s not their first experience performing overseas. The band already appeared at leading overseas festivals in Canada (Canadian Music Week), Germany (Reeperbahn Festival), Taiwan (LUCfest), Singapore (Baybeats Festival), Thailand (Big Mountain Music Festival), and the U.S. (SXSW).
Agent Michael LoJudice of Anniversary Group, who is in charge of SURL and other Korean musicians such as SE SO NEON and Car, the Garden, commented, “I first came across SURL’s music through a friend’s recommendation, and then got to meet the boys and their manager at SXSW in Austin, TX 2022. I’m super excited that this tour happening, can’t wait to see them in NYC!”
