GroovyRoom and GEMINI to Perform at Head in the Clouds New York’s ‘Party Under the K Bridge’

88rising’s Head in the Clouds New York Music & Arts Festival is returning for 2025 in a brand new way. The internationally-renowned festival’s New York iteration previously enjoyed two years as a traditional two-day music festival at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens. But on September 20, Head in the Clouds New York will bring some of the hottest names in Asian music together for a one-night party at Under the K Bridge Park in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint neighborhood, one of the city’s coolest new venues.

The festival is tapping into New York City’s infamous nightlife scene with a lineup of mostly DJs with musicians peppered into the mix. Set to headline are festival trap darling ISOxo, 88rising OG Rich Brian, global pop star KUN, and viral Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba. Joining them and repping South Korea are iconic DJ duo GroovyRoom and R&B soloist GEMINI.

Making their Head in the Clouds debut are GroovyRoom, made up of members IÖN and Lil Moshpit. The production duo saw a hit in 2024 with the song “Yes or No” featuring Huh Yunjin of LE SSERAFIM and K-R&B darling Crush. GroovyRoom was formerly signed to Jay Park’s label H1GHR Music, where they collaborated with artists like pH-1, Sik-K, Heize, Dynamic Duo, and more. K-Pop fans may also be familiar with their production credits for Jay B, OnlyOneOf, i-dle, Minzy of 2NE1, Hyolyn, Eunha of VIVIZ and GFriend, and Ravi. Now, as co-founders and co-CEOs of their own label, AT AREA, GroovyRoom oversee soloists like DAWN, HyunA, MIRANI, Yuju and rock band Redoor.

In recent years, IÖN and Lil Moshpit have expanded their range with solo work. Last year, IÖN released his first EDM-focused EP, CÖURAGE. Head in the Clouds New York will be IÖN’s second gig in Brooklyn – he opened the New York stop of Woosung’s B4 WE DIE Tour with bass-heavy beats to get the audience started. Lil Moshpit is also an accomplished hip-hop and rap producer. His debut 2022 studio album AAA was widely acclaimed and won Hip Hop Album of the Year at the 2023 Korean Hip-hop Awards. Head in the Clouds attendees can expect to dance along to GroovyRoom’s hit songs seamlessly mixed with experimental trap, techno, and dubstep.

GEMINI, who is signed to AT AREA, will also be returning to New York for his own Head in the Clouds debut after two previous tour stops in 2023 and 2024. The soloist has made a name for himself on the Korean R&B scene with his smooth vocals and sultry songs like “Naked” and “Know Me.” His striking signature platinum hair has also made him a regular at Fashion Week events around the world. Fans can expect to hear songs from GEMINI’s latest EP, In too deep, along with fan-favorite songs like “mon amour” and “MIA (feat. CAMO and WOODZ).” GEMINI and GroovyRoom may even surprise attendees by performing collabs like “Rollin’” and “Let Me Leave You.”

Head in the Clouds New York’s Party Under the K Bridge is an 18+ event that will take place rain or shine. General Admission and VIP tickets start at $99 and can be purchased here.
