On March 21, GOT7 member and AOMG R&B soloist Yugyeom graced New York City for the second stop of the North and Latin American leg of his TRUSTY World Tour. The tour, which kicked off in October 2024 in Singapore, followed the release of TRUST ME, his first studio album. In between touring, Yugyeom has been busy – in the fall, he served as a team director on SBS’ boy group-building competition show Universe League and participated in GOT7’s comeback this past January.
The concert was a highly anticipated event for East Coast fans, known as Ahgases. The last time Yugyeom visited the New York metro area was in 2019 for GOT7’s ‘Keep Spinning’ World Tour at Prudential Center, located just across the Hudson River in Newark, NJ. Since GOT7’s departure from JYP Entertainment in 2021, fans around the world have been eager to support the members’ flourishing solo activities. The original venue for the TRUSTY World Tour’s New York stop was at Racket. But after selling out just minutes after going on sale and due to the high demand following, the venue was upgraded to the much larger Terminal 5.
The venue was buzzing as day-one Ahgases and casual listeners alike filed in to find their spots. Slowly, Terminal 5 began to glow with the light green of GOT7 lightsticks. When the clock hit eight, the house lights went down and all attention turned to the stage as blue spotlights illuminated where Yugyeom appeared onstage.

Yugyeom kicked off the show with “I Want U Around,” a track from his debut EP Point of View: U which featured his AOMG labelmate DeVita. He kept the energy up with “LOLO,” accompanied by two dancers who helped hype up the crowd. Yugyeom’s performances during the show were complemented by fun choreography – a testament to his idol background.
Throughout the show, Yugyeom made Terminal 5 feel like a party as he performed songs from his latest release, such as “Steppin,” “Be Alright,” and “SHINE (feat. SUMIN).” After upbeat songs, the crowd made barking sounds to show their excitement and approval, which Yugyeom happily mirrored back.

During a short break, Yugyeom mentioned that the crowd’s energy was insane. Not to be outdone, he promised he would continue giving the performances his all, commenting, “I can’t lose to all of you!”
Yugyeom seamlessly transitioned into different moods during the concert as well. Fans were treated to obsessively romantic tracks like the fan-favorite “All Your Fault (feat. GRAY),” “Sweet Like,” and “Falling In Love.” His honey vocals also impressed and delighted the show’s attendees. During “LA SOL MI,” the audience cheered at Yugyeom’s falsetto and captivating ad libs.

He rounded out the show’s vibe with sexy and sensual songs like “Ponytail (feat. Sik-K),” “WUH,” and “Love The Way,” which features AOMG founder and rapper Jay Park and Punchnello. Some well-timed hip thrusts and a show of shoulders in the dynamic choreography had the audience cheering and swooning.
Though the main setlist was made up of Yugyeom’s solo hits, he also made sure to throw in a few snacks for Ahgases. When Yugyeom went backstage for an outfit change, the DJ played a short but lively set of hip-hop and R&B remixes along with GOT7 songs like “Breath” and “Lullaby.”
The concert ended on a high note with “Hard Carry,” another GOT7 hit that had the crowd jumping and dancing. As the dancers sprayed water onto the audience, those in the front rows got an extra treat — Yugyeom himself went down to the barricade to get up close and personal with fans.

Before the show ended, Yugyeom expressed his deep gratitude to the audience for taking the time to come see him. He noted that he would be leaving for the mandatory military service soon — every K-Pop boy group fan’s most dreaded announcement — but pinky-promised that he would return. If you need any more convincing to go see Yugyeom before he leaves, well, guess you’ll just have to trust us.
Tickets are still available for some of the remaining stops of the TRUSTY World Tour and can be purchased here.
Great article. Yugyeom was so good. His voice is amazing. He’s got a great discography and is a great dancer. I loved his Bobby Brown Every Little Step dance break. Please go see him if you have a chance.
