Style and Music Icon Jackson Wang Successfully Concludes ‘Magic Man’ World Tour

After releasing his first album, Mirrors, in 2019, acclaimed Hong Kong rapper, singer, and fashion designer Jackson Wang went on to make a name for himself as a solo artist. Among his most recent performances that truly captivated audiences worldwide is his collaboration stage with Ciara at Coachella last April 2023. During his performance at the Sahara Tent, Wang invited the R&B icon as a guest performer for a remix of XG’s “LEFT RIGHT” and teased their collaboration for a track called “Slow” that was released on the same day.

Aside from making history as the first-ever Chinese solo artist to perform on the Coachella main stage for two years in a row, Wang also demonstrates his success as a global star through the recently concluded ‘Magic Man’ world tour.

On September 9, 2022, Jackson Wang released his second album, Magic Man, which debuted at No. 15 on the Billboard 200 and ranked third on the “Top Album Sales” and “Current Album Sales” charts. In the same month, he announced his first solo headliner world tour of the same name, with plans to promote the album in major entertainment hubs across Asia, Europe, North America, and South America.

Wang’s ‘Magic Man’ world tour kicked off on November 26, 2022, in Bangkok, Thailand, then sold out shows as he traveled through Malaysia, Singapore, London, Paris, and Dubai. At the end of January 2023, Wang announced more stops for the United States, Canada, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, and Brazil, held from April to May.

For the last leg of his highly acclaimed world tour, Wang returned to Greater China with two consecutive shows at Macau’s largest indoor entertainment venue, Galaxy Arena, last July 15-16. As he performed his celebrated singles, “100 Ways,” “LMLY,” and “Drive You Home,” and tracks “Blow” and “Go Ghost” from his latest album, Wang lived up to his reputation as an enthralling performer. But aside from his undeniable energy and stage presence, what also stood out was Wang’s remarkable style. The star ended his show donning sheer stagewear accentuated by his dual-toned hair.

What’s next for Jackson Wang

Right after ‘Magic Man’ earned its rightful success across the world, Jackson Wang’s own record label, Team Wang, has started teasing Magic Man 2 as a likely sequel to his previous album. Wang is also set to continue performing at music festivals and shows in North America.

Beyond music, fans can also look forward to Wang’s endeavors in the fashion world. Throughout the years, Wang has made his own mark as a style icon through high-profile endorsements and collaborations with fashion brands. In 2019, the star partnered with Ray-Ban sunglasses for a fresh take on the iconic Ray-Ban Aviator style. The ‘Team Wang x Ray-Ban’ collection introduced three new color combinations of the said aviators, which also featured an engraving of Wang’s signature inside the temple tips and on the packaging. As the collection and Wang himself perfectly embodied the timeless eyewear brand’s #Proudtobelong slogan, Wang played a pivotal role in expanding Luxottica Group’s presence in Asia Pacific markets.

Meanwhile, the most recent addition to Wang’s lucrative fashion deals is his Louis Vuitton ambassadorship. On January 21, 2023, the global artist with over 31 million followers on Instagram was appointed as the luxury house’s latest brand ambassador. Since then, Wang has been showing up in public events like the Met Gala 2023 dressed in Louis Vuitton. Before becoming an ambassador, Wang was also working with brands like Armani Perfume, Cartier, and Fendi. Ultimately, fans will continue seeing Jackson Wang’s name in global industries due to his undeniable influence as a music and style icon.
