Ulala Session’s Im Yoontaek recently passed away this week after losing his battle with stomach cancer.
Despite his personal battle with the cancer Im Yoontaek carried on pursuing his dreams after winning Superstar K3 in 2011.
YG Entertainment confirmed that on February 12, Psy completed activities in Malaysia and flew back to South Korea. Psy wasted no time in heading to the Severance Hospital in Seoul to pay his respects to Im Yoontaek and offer his support to Im Yoontaek’s family.
Psy had given the track “Beautiful Night” to Ulala Session. He also personally knew Im Yoontaek through Mnet’s “Superstar K3”, afterwhich Psy signed on as a judge in season 4.
Psy is due to fly to Philippines for a concert over the weekend. Im Yoontaek’s funeral will be held on February 14.
