MAMA Winners, Super Junior win a Triple Crown

The MAMAs (M.net Asian Music Awards) were held in an indoor stadium in Singapore between 7pm and 11pm Korean Standard Time (KST) 29th November 2011. Which attracted stars and fans from across the world. Among western artists were Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and The Black Eyed Peas‘ will.i.am and apl.de.ap performed with CL of 2NE1 to give an unforgettable performance at the 2011 MAMAs.

 

Super Junior, 2NE1 and SNSD won the ‘best awards’ at the MAMA. Super Junior won the Album of The Year Award for their Album ‘Mr.Simple’ released in August. Best Male Group Award and the Singapore Choice Award. 2NE1 received the Best Vocal Performance Group Award and the Song of The Year Award for their single ‘I Am The Best’. SNSD were awarded the Best Female Group Award and  the Singer/Group of The Year Award, for their outstanding performance throughout 2011.

The Best singer awards were given to Kim Hyun Joong (male) and Baek Ji Young (female), Baek Ji Young also received the award for Best OST for her song ‘That Man’.
The Rookie Awards went to Heo Gak (male) and a.pink (female).

The Best Dance Performances were awarded to Beast (male group), Miss A (female group), and HyunA (solo artist). The Best Solo Vocal Performance was won by IU, The Best Band Performance was given to C.N.Blue, and The Best Rap Performance was awarded to Leessang.

Big Bang took home the Best Music Video Award for their song ‘Love Song’ released earlier this year.

Best Asian Artist Awards were given to: Koda Kumi – A Japanese solo artist, Wei Chen from China (new solo artist) and Aziatix (new group)

The Styling Music Award was given to Seo In Young.

The Special Award by the producer of M.net was given to rock band YB.
