Lollapalooza 2025: TWICE, BOYNEXTDOOR, wave to earth, KATSEYE, Xdinary Heroes, and KickFlip To Perform in Chicago

Lollapalooza is back in Chicago’s Grant Park from July 31 to August 3, and the 2025 lineup is stacked with some of Korea’s biggest names in music. K-Pop veterans TWICE are taking the stage at Lollapalooza for the first time, making history as the first ever K-Pop girl group to headline the iconic festival. Joining them are JYP Entertainment labelmates Xdinary Heroes and rookies KickFlip, both of whom are making their U.S. festival debut at the event. The star-studded lineup also includes K-indie sensations wave to earth, boy group BOYNEXTDOOR, most famous for their track “If I Say, I Love You,” and global girl group KATSEYE, who are taking the world by storm.

More than 170 artists from all over the world are set to perform at Lollapalooza, drawing in crowds of up to 500,000 people. Along with TWICE, Tyler, The Creator, Luke Combs, Olivia Rodrigo, Korn, Rüfüs Du Sol, Sabrina Carpenter, and A$AP Rocky are headlining the festival.

TWICE’s historic appearance at Lollapalooza is timely – they recently announced the July release of their fourth full album, FOUR, and teased an upcoming 2025 world tour. The group, consisting of members Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu, is one of the most celebrated acts in all of K-Pop, being dubbed the “Nation’s Girl Group” of Korea and receiving both domestic and international success since their debut in 2015. The girl group has not been back in the States since their Ready To Be world tour in 2023 and Ready To Be: Once More encore in Las Vegas in 2024 where they sold out concerts at SoFi Stadium and MetLife Stadium and garnered 1.5 million attendees in total. If their recent tour is anything to go by, TWICE fans, known as ONCE, can expect to see an extravagant and upbeat performance at Lollapalooza. ONCE can anticipate hearing greatest hits from the veteran group as well as more recent tracks from FOUR and Strategy.

Korean rock band Xdinary Heroes, labelmates of headliners TWICE, will be joining the July 31st lineup. The band consists of members Gunil, Jungsu, Gaon, O.de, Jun Han, and Jooyeon. They debuted in 2021 with the hit song “Happy Death Day,” and won the Mnet Asian Music Award (MAMA) for “Best Band Performance” in 2022. Lollapalooza marks the group’s first U.S. festival appearance and is timed to their upcoming world tour Beautiful Mind, which kicks off in the U.S. on August 2 in New York. The group previously came to the States for their 2024 showcase tour where they delivered a rocking, energy-filled performance. Fans, known as Villains, can expect to hear their favorite tracks as well as newer releases from their most recent studio album Beautiful Mind, during their set.

The freshest face on the scene is the seven-member boy group KickFlip, which consists of members Kyehoon, Amaru, Donghwa, Juwang, Minje, Keiju, and Donhyeon. The group was formed in 2021 through the SBS survival show Loud and debuted this past January with the mini-album Flip it, Kick it! The group has quickly made a name for themselves with Flip it, Kick it! peaking at No. 1 on Korean charts upon its release. KickFlip is set to release their second EP Kick Out, Flip Now! on May 26, so festivalgoers can expect to see a bubbly display of the group’s youthful and bright sound.

Korean indie rock band wave to earth is returning to the U.S. for Lollapalooza after completing a sold-out tour from September to November 2024. The band consists of lead singer and guitarist Daniel Kim, bassist John Cha, and drummer Don Q. wave to earth became a breakout success after going viral on TikTok in 2023 with their track “seasons,” and has only grown in popularity since. The band is no stranger to performing at U.S. festivals – they performed at Austin City Limits and Head in the Clouds New York in 2024 and are set to continue their U.S. festival run at Governor’s Ball in New York City on June 7 and Bonnaroo in Manchester, TN on June 14 before heading to Lollapalooza. Fans of the group can expect a moment of relaxation during their set, as the band is known for their mellow, dreamy sound. The band will also be headlining one of Lollapalooza’s official aftershows at Thalia Hall on August 2.

The last day of Lollapalooza will feature the rising six-member boy group BOYNEXTDOOR. Their appearance rides the wave of their Knock On Vol.1 Tour, which will conclude in Seoul just days before Lollapalooza on July 27. Members Jaehyun, Sungho, Riwoo, Taesan, Leehan, and Woonhak debuted in May 2023 with the single album Who! and have since been steadily rising in international recognition. Known for their relatable lyrics, easy-going melodies, and self-produced tracks, BOYNEXTDOOR fans, called ONEDOOR, can look forward to hearing their top hits such as “Earth, Wind, & Fire,” and songs from their latest release, No Genre. BOYNEXTDOOR’s set will certainly be an energetic and colorful performance full of fun choreography and cute moments between the members. BOYNEXTDOOR will also be headlining one of Lollapalooza’s official aftershows at the House of Blues on August 2.

Global girl group and viral sensations KATSEYE will also be taking the stage on the last day of Lollapalooza. KATSEYE was formed through the 2023 reality show Dream Academy and debuted in June 2024 with the aptly-named single “Debut.” The group is known for their multicultural lineup through members Sophia, Manon, Daniela, Megan, Lara, and Yoonchae, representing the Philippines, South Korea, Switzerland, and the United States. Since breaking onto the scene, KATSEYE has proven their strong and synchronized performance abilities through songs like hit single, “Touch,” from their first EP SIS (Soft Is Strong). Their highly anticipated second EP, BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, is scheduled for release on June 27. KATSEYE fans, known as EYEKONS, can expect to hear the group’s most loved tracks as well as newer songs such as the buzzy single “Gnarly.”

Fans can purchase tickets at varying tiers on the festival website. However, prospective attendees are encouraged to act fast, as passes have already begun to sell out.
