After their 2011 hit, ‘Fiction’, winning Song of the Year, BEAST’s 5th mini album ‘Midnight Sun’ is contains six different colours which will stop from sleeping. With music and love being just two of the sub-themes under their main theme of the night, the track ‘Midnight’ which was recently released as well as their title song ‘It’s a Beautiful Night’ tells various stories, such as the personalities of BEAST.
‘Midnight’ portrays a night you are unable to fall asleep due to the pain of love, whereas ‘It’s a Beautiful Night’ is a powerful electro sunth-pop track which holds enough strength to change BEAST’s image in a matter of seconds.
BEAST’s ‘It’s a Beautiful Night’ displays the comfortable use of a wide musical spectrum, the mebers having added their own emotional attachment into the song making it stand out from common electronic music. The members’ ability to balance the two different songs is embedded into the six different vocal colours.
Other than the two main tracks, the album is packed with songs to be anticipated, ‘Not Me’ and ‘The Day You Rest’ adds in the fun you can find in other K-Pop songs. On the other hand, ‘When I Miss You’ and ‘Dream Girl’ are slow tracks, contrasting from the other tracks on the album.
After having reached the top in 2011, and embarking on their world tour in 2012, BEAST are now fully prepared to make their return after over a year.
Who’s excited for their comeback?
