VERIVERY Steps Into a New Era With Their Reflective Single Album ‘Lost and Found’

VERIVERY is back with their first music release in two years: a comeback shaped by renewed artistic clarity and a strengthened sense of identity. In early 2025, the group reentered the public eye through MNET’s survival show BOYS II PLANET, where members Dongheon, Gyehyeon, and Kangmin showcased their skills to a wider audience. Their participation reignited excitement amongst fans while introducing the group to new listeners.

After the show, the group confirmed that they were preparing new music as a five-member team, consisting of members Dongheon, Gyehyeon, Yeonho, Yongseung, and Kangmin, followed by an announcement that all active members had renewed their contracts with Jellyfish Entertainment.

Since their official debut in 2019, VERIVERY has steadily developed a distinctive identity centered on sincerity, self-production, and versatility. Their name reflects this ethos: “VERI,” meaning truth in Latin, and “VERY,” emphasising authenticity and intensity. Over the years, the group shaped a discography known for strong vocals and the members’ frequent involvement in songwriting and production. The group first introduced themselves with the pre-debut track “Super Special” before releasing their first mini-album, VERI-US, which presented their youthful, self-produced identity. Across their discography, VERIVERY have continuously reshaped their artistic voice through a series of concept-driven releases with strong storytelling. The FACE it trilogy dug deeper into themes of connection, self-reflection, and confronting one’s emotions in an increasingly complex world. The SERIES ‘O’ era marked a shift towards a darker, more introspective direction, focusing on inner turmoil and shadowed emotions while exploring the tension between light and darkness. The group then entered the Liminality series, which focused on hope and personal aspiration, framing love and joy as the foundation of true happiness. Following this evolution, the group returned with their new single album Lost and Found, released on December 1, 2025. Their first project since Liminality – EP.DREAM, this album marked the beginning of a new chapter in which the members continue to develop their artistic vision and reconnect with listeners through fresh material.

Lost and Found explores the emotional depth of “Han (恨)”, a complex feeling tied to unresolved longing, sorrow, and lingering regret. The album reflects a desire to reclaim time, emotion, and artistic ambition. While the themes acknowledge a period of relative quiet for the group, the tone of this album is clear: an act of reaffirming their identity and reconnecting with their fans.

Kangmin emphasized the personal significance of this release: “We’re back after two and a half years, and I hope you look forward to our growth and improvement that are shown in Lost and Found!” The project features three new tracks, each shaped with direct creative input from the members.

Speaking about the intention behind the single album and the members’ creative contributions, Dongheon explained: “VERIVERY members participated in the lyrics or composition for all tracks included in this album to convey the story we’ve been wanting to share with our fans. Please give it a lot of love and support!”

RED (Beggin’)” opens the album with immediacy and boldness, weaving an interpolation of The Four Seasons’ hit “Beggin’” into a modern drum-and-bass foundation. Rather than relying heavily on the well-known melody, the song uses it as a touchpoint within an otherwise energetic, brisk production filled with electric guitar fragments and percussive detail, allowing the track’s own production character to shine. The members match this intensity with a confident vocal delivery that leans into rhythmic phrasing and sing-shout elements.

The music video expands the emotional scope of the song visually through contrasts of past and present, highlighting the group’s transition into a renewed era. Through these images, Lost and Found aims to visually emphasize the group’s will to stand back up despite all that they’ve lost over the years.

empty” showcases VERIVERY’s experimental side. Co-composed and arranged by Yeonho, it leans into a hyperpop direction paired with minimalist hip-hop textures. The track’s playful chaos mirrors its lyrical exploration of tangled emotions, mental clutter, and internal turbulence. Its offbeat energy, wit, and intentionally jarring structure give it a distinctive personality within the album.

Closing the single album on a warmer note, “Cotton Candy (Blame us)” is a smooth R&B track featuring lyrics by Dongheon and Gyehyeon, who also contributed to the composition. Dedicated to their fans, the song feels like an intimate gesture – soft, sincere, and emotionally grounded. The mellow instrumentation and gentle vocal delivery create a comforting and heartfelt finale, offering a counterbalance to the album’s otherwise intense emotional palette.

With Lost and Found, VERIVERY opens a promising new chapter in their story, grounded in authenticity, continuity, and a renewed commitment to their craft and their fans. The album highlights how far the group has come, weaving together past experiences and growth into a cohesive statement of identity and ambition.
