K-Pop Stars in the UK

[ad#GA-648-linkunit-Katy] It seems as though K-pop stars don’t visit the UK very often. Well, that is not exactly true. After seeing “SHINee in London” and “United Cube in London”, I looked back at all the artists who came to visit and found that there were quite a few.

To begin with, this year, SHINee came to London for the opening gala concert of the London Korean Film Festival in November, organised by the Korean Cultural Centre UK.

Then, the most recent artists who came to perform at O2 Academy Brixton were B2ST, 4Minute and G.NA.

B2ST also tweeted their own picture outside Selfridges on Oxford St.

Also in 2011, BIGBANG were invited to MTV’s EMA as a nominee for worldwide act, which they won!

Thanks to the Kpopteam, the famous rapper and CEO of Illionaire records, DOK2 came to perform in London.

Lee Hyori, who visited London for the fashion week, with her designer friend Yoni P. It has been known that Hyori likes to come to London to shop at vintage shops, even when she doesn’t have a photo shoot or an event to attend to.

Rain, who made a very short visit to promote MCM and held a fan-signing in January this year. Rain also came for the premiere of the movie “Speed Racer” at the Odeon in Leicester Square.

Some of you may have heard of the Korean rock star Yoon Do Hyeon. He came with his band to perform at the DANO festival, which took place at Trafalgar Square in 2008, in order to promote Korean culture.
