After kicking off their tour in September with two sold-out stadium shows in South Korea, SEVENTEEN returned to Los Angeles’ BMO Stadium with back-to-back shows on October 16 and 17. This fifth world tour is titled NEW_ to signal a bold new era for SEVENTEEN with the underscore “_” to symbolize the group’s limitless potential. The group’s commitment to showcasing new sides of themselves is evident in their setlist, which consists of old and new favorite tracks, including solo stages for the first time ever.
SEVENTEEN released their fifth studio album, HAPPY BURSTDAY, back in May 2025 to celebrate their 10-year debut anniversary as a group. The album debuted at No. 2 on the “Billboard 200,” tying their highest record, and included three new group songs and 13 solo songs total, one for each member. In addition to their group releases, CARATs (the official fandom name) were kept busy this year with unit promotions by BSS (SEUNGKWAN, DK, HOSHI), HxW (HOSHI, WOOZI), and most recently, CxM (S.COUPS, MINGYU) as part of SEVENTEEN’s 10th anniversary project “Rebirth Project.”
The active members performing on this tour include S.COUPS, JOSHUA, JUN, THE 8, MINGYU, DK, SEUNGKWAN, VERNON, and DINO, while members JEONGHAN, WONWOO, WOOZI, and HOSHI are completing their mandatory military service with the South Korean Army.

The show opened with a VCR of the members navigating crisscrossing pathways in the cloudy sky, surrounded by floating debris. As the grid-like stage doors lifted, pairs of members slowly emerged in various areas of the stage in bedazzled dark denim and leather outfits to a remixed version of “Bad Influence (Prod. by Pharrell Williams).” Joined by dancers dressed in metallic, futuristic outfits, SEVENTEEN moved subtly but confidently, as if they were models in a high fashion show. The dancers finished out the song with a dance break outro as the members gathered on the main stage for the first official song of the night.
“HBD” kicked off the night with a bang as fireworks went off during the first chorus. After the group ventured down to the extended stage, confetti in the signature blue and pink SEVENTEEN colors showered the crowd. The energy continued to build as the beginning whistle melody of “THUNDER” repeated eerily before the group launched into a full-out performance of powerful, synchronized choreography.
The boys lined up to officially greet fans and introduce themselves. Some highlights included SEUNGKWAN being trendy and telling fans “I’m your LaBooBoo” instead of his usual “I’m your Boo” (in reference to his last name and the viral Labubu dolls). DK hurriedly tacked onto the end of his introduction, “Let’s go Dodgers!” as he is known to be an avid Dodgers fan. Joshua reflected on how much Los Angeles had changed, but the one thing that hadn’t changed was CARATs. When it was time for Leader S.COUPS to speak, the crowd—as if possessed by the same rowdy spirit—greeted him with loud barks instead of the usual cheers.
Together, the group led fans in practicing the tour’s catchphrase, where SEVENTEEN would say “SEVENTEEN, CARAT, JAK JAK” (the clapping sound in Korean) and CARATs would respond with “NEW” along with a shaka gesture (where the fist is bent but thumb and pinky stick out). As the night heated up, members shed their jackets, and JOSHUA pleasantly shocked fans when he popped up on the big screen in an eye-catching, transparent mesh shirt. SEVENTEEN and CARATs completed the “SEVENTEEN, CARAT, JAK JAK NEW” slogan to usher in the next performance.

Shifting the mood a little, the members tapped into their romantic, flirty sides with “Domino.” The lights dimmed and came back on to reveal only JOSHUA, JUN, THE 8, and VERNON on the stage for a special unit performance of “Network Love” from their album An Ode released in 2019. Fans were delighted to see this unit perform together for the first time and experience the sensual choreography live.
The second VCR marked a shift to a darker and more foreboding universe, with the members scattered in various locations like abandoned buildings, empty swimming pools, and inside a car during the rain. The tension only continued to build as DINO stepped outside to the open sky and watched as the dark clouds moved in.
Crossing over from the video, DINO appeared on the stage in a dazzling black suit for his sexy, charismatic performance of “Trigger (Dino Solo).” Fireworks exploded on the opening “Bang” lyric and DINO’s energy electrified the crowd throughout the entire song. At the end of the song, JUN appeared in a light blue satin suit with free-flowing ruffles and stood back to back with DINO. The two intensely faced off before JUN took command of the stage. JUN gave an ethereal, graceful yet emotive performance of “Gemini (Jun Solo)” complete with white feathery confetti exploding as he hit his high note and a dance outro. The stage abruptly went dark, and then the grid stage door rose for VERNON to enter in a simple gray sweater and jeans. He strapped on his electric guitar and gently strummed the first few notes of “Shining Star (Vernon Solo)” and then was joined in by a full band playing from offstage. In a way that’s very authentic to him, VERNON completed his solo stage with just a mic stand and guitar.

After a short interlude by the live band, SEVENTEEN came together for “SOS (Prod. Marshmello)” that united the whole stadium with its powerful lyrics. Slowing things down, the members performed “F*ck My Life” and moved all around the stage to connect with CARATs before converging at the center to end the emotional song. They then performed the more lighthearted, playful “LOVE, MONEY, FAME (feat. DJ Khaled)” with the live band, which gave the song a more synthy, retro twist.
The group reviewed the stages they just showcased by singing the refrains from “SOS” and “LOVE, MONEY, FAME” acapella and having CARATS finish the lines with them. They even sang a bit of “God of Music” as this venue reminded them of how they performed that song on tour last year. DINO remarked that this was the first time SEVENTEEN presented their solos in concert. The members who performed so far, DINO, JUN, and VERNON, then proceeded to sing acapella snippets for fans. SEUNGKWAN requested that everyone look forward to all the solo stages that are still to come. S.COUPS hilariously forgot (until reminded by JOSHUA) to do the “NEW!” slogan to start the next performance of “Darl+ing,” SEVENTEEN’s first all-English track.

The third VCR was an animated short film that featured the back of a lone figure walking through town until he encountered a deer made of starlight. The protagonist touched the deer and ascended into space with the deer, and then transformed into an astral figure himself.
JOSHUA took center stage looking like a true gentleman in a light tan suit, sitting cross-legged on a park bench as he sweetly serenaded fans with “Fortunate Change (Joshua Solo).” At the climax of the song, the previously plain buildings in the LED screens bloomed with flowers, and rainbow confetti fluttered all around him in a dreamy sight. Next was DK, in a boyish all-denim outfit, as he sat on the edge of the raised platform and swung his legs playfully, for “Happy Virus (DK Solo).” At the peak of the song, yellow confetti shimmered over the stage like rays of sunshine as the camera filmed DK up close singing amongst the crowd, with lyrics projected on the screen to help CARATs sing along. SEUNGKWAN, in a neat, cream satin suit, steadily played the introduction to “Raindrops (SEUNGKWAN Solo)” on a white grand piano against a backdrop of mystical, falling stars. The band joined in as the music swelled until the stage was stripped of everything except for SEUNGKWAN and his powerful yet delicate voice.
Another VCR played of the members as they walked through various settings and constantly switched between color and black and white glitchy pathways, a confined matrix-like space, and an open desert and mountain scenery. The intensity built until it showed a close-up of THE 8 discreetly adjusting his sunglasses.

This transition brought the audience back to the stage with THE 8 for a dark, moody “Skyfall (THE 8 Solo).” THE 8 commanded the stage despite most of his face being covered by a scarf. He shed the scarf just in time for the explosive choreography and fully transformed the stage into an EDM rave where he hyped CARATs with his auto‑tuned mic. Amidst flashing spotlights and retro techno beats, MINGYU stylishly donned his sunglasses to lead us into “Shake It Off” (Mingyu Solo).” Surrounded by his backup dancers, MINGYU made CARATs feel as if they were at a giant party and he was the life of the party. The dancers quickly shifted from being MINGYU’s party crew and rallied towards S.COUPS, who was already waiting on the main stage platform. In the “Jungle (S.COUPS Solo),” S.COUPS showcased his beastly side with krumping dance moves where he fed off of CARATs’ energetic barking. S.COUPS concluded the solo stages on a high note, demonstrating his power as the leader of SEVENTEEN.

From there, DINO signaled the start of a new stage with a dance break introduction with bold moves. He was then joined by the rest of the members in red, black, and white racer outfits for the fan favorite song “HOT” accompanied by the live band. Continuing with popular crowd favorites but with a twist, the members performed a remixed group version of “HIGHLIGHT,” which was originally performed by the Performance Unit (HOSHI, THE 8, JUN, DINO). It was a slower reimagining where the members used every part of the stage to display the intricate choreography. Keeping the energy high, the members launched into the intense, high-energy choreography of “HIT.” The fan chants were deafening, and there was not a single dull moment in the jam-packed song that is infamously hard to perform due to its nonstop choreography.

Taking a breather, the members chatted playfully with the crowd and each other. DINO bragged about executing the last three songs without breaks. As MINGYU struggled through English banter, SEUNGKWAN gently teased him about the conversation, to which DINO immediately broke out into song, paying homage to another iconic Performance Unit song, “I Don’t Understand But I Luv U.” S.COUPS also cheekily explained he made his solo song, “Jungle,” to get fans barking.
Although it was time for the last song, SEUNGKWAN pointed out that some fans were requesting to start the concert over and even have an eight-hour concert. S.COUPS suggested that they do that when all 13 members are back, since they will have enough unit and solo stages to make an eight-hour setlist. CARATs cheered enthusiastically at the idea. SEUNGKWAN also gave a shoutout to the absent members by directing attention to some CARATs who wore camouflage military-style outfits and held up printed heads of JEONGHAN, WONWOO, HOSHI, and WOOZI.
Onto the “last song” of the night, DK tapped into his rockstar persona by playing the drums for CARATs for the first time and dramatically threw his sticks into the air to finish his solo. JOSHUA asked, “L.A., are you ready to rock with us one last time?” to launch the crowd into “Rock with you” complete with fireworks and deafening fan chants.
SEVENTEEN exited the stage to make way for “CARAT TIME” led by Bongbongie, the lovable SEVENTEEN mascot. Bongbongie became a DJ on the LED screens and played remixes of fan favorite songs that unfortunately did not make the setlist. Drawing from their plentiful discography, Bongbongie played unit songs like Hip Hop Unit’s (S.COUPS, WONWOO, MINGYU, VERNON) “LALALI”, SVT Leaders’ (S.COUPS, WOOZI, HOSHI) “CHEERS”, HxW’s “STUPID IDIOT”, BSS’s “CBZ [Prime time]” and group title tracks like “God of Music,” “HOME;RUN,” “Left & Right,” and “Super.”
Back in casual outfits, the members rolled out towards the crowd in platform carts to get up close and personal to CARATs seated throughout the stadium. Jamming along to the OST tracks “A‑TEEN,” and “9‑TEEN,” the carts made a full lap of the venue and led all members back to the main stage to finish up the song “20.”

After the music faded and everyone took their places, SEVENTEEN shared their final words for the night. S.COUPS delivered his ending ment first, saying just before the encore, he had a conversation with THE 8 and JOSHUA about how meaningful it was to become singers who perform in such large venues. JOSHUA expressed how great it felt to be back in his hometown. He wished they could come more often and thanked fans for never forgetting them, adding that it’s always an honor to represent L.A. to CARATs.
DINO shared that while he visited the gym and ate out at restaurants in L.A., the concert was by far the best place to be. JUN admitted it had been a while since he last came to L.A. Although he couldn’t join the previous tour, he was grateful to be here this time, giving and receiving so much energy. He promised to do even better in the future and hoped to see more CARATs at an even bigger venue next time.
THE 8 said he felt the weight and responsibility of all the love they receive, which inspires him to become a better performer and make even better albums. He closed his message in English, saying sincerely, “You are the reason I keep on going.”
SEUNGKWAN shared how happy he was to meet everyone, and then jokingly pretended to be dubbed by the English translation done by a translator off stage. He showed off his English skills to tell CARATs, “You’re the reason I keep singing, dancing, performing, eating, sleeping, snoring…” before trailing off and laughing as he apologized.
MINGYU also showed his ever-improving English, saying, “You guys already know I love L.A.” and recounting how he shot his recent CxM music video here, how he loves vacationing in L.A., and his hopes to return soon.
VERNON noted that every time they returned to L.A., the energy was absolutely insane. He didn’t know when they would return, but hoped to see everyone next time and wished everyone would have a nice hot shower after the show. DK said he was so touched by how brightly CARATs smiled throughout the night. He asked them to keep smiling like that every time they see SEVENTEEN, and warmly invited them to come back and see them again.
Reluctant to call it a night, the members asked the crowd, “Do you guys wanna go home like this?” Right on cue, MINGYU walked up to the camera and called DINO over. The two looked directly into the lens to say together: “Our eyes are always on you,” to perform the first encore song “Eyes on You.”
Noticing how CARATs really enjoyed “Super” during CARAT Time, SEVENTEEN sang the song with fans screaming along to the catchy “I love my team, I love my crew” lyrics. They continued with a medley of fan-favorite tracks, beginning with a snippet of “Left & Right” and featuring JUN wearing a floppy bunny-eared Cinnabon hat that moved according to the lyrics. MINGYU then stepped to cue “5,4,3” by CxM, to which all the members danced along. Next was BSS’s “Fighting” that was topped off by Pi Cheonlin, the recurring middle-aged character played by DINO from their variety show “GOING SEVENTEEN.” Next came a special encore of “HOT” and a throwback to 2018 with “What’s Good” from the You Make My Day album.
Looking to shift the mood, they asked, “Should we do something a little more touching?” As if on cue, the opening of “Headliner” began, with WOOZI’s voice echoing throughout the venue, which made fans miss him even more, along with another touching yet laidback song, “Our Dawn Is Hotter Than Day.”

Then came the inevitable question that all seasoned CARATs have been anticipating: “Is there a song we haven’t done yet? How are you feeling today?” CARATS answered back with a deafening: “AJU NICE!” In true SEVENTEEN fashion, they began their beloved “VERY NICE” segment by scanning the crowd for CARATs brave enough to take on the iconic high note. One fan, Rain, got the group’s attention as it was her 21st SEVENTEEN concert. Upon hearing her name, DINO, overcome by his intrusive thoughts, burst into a snippet of “Rain” by the Performance Unit before immediately apologizing with a grin.
Then SEUNGKWAN spotted a sign in the crowd that read, “Let’s do a 3-part harmony Aju Nice high note!” He leaped into the audience and asked the fan holding it, “Tell me what you want.” She boldly replied, “I want to marry you.” SEUNGKWAN laughed it off to resume the segment. Joined by her two friends, the CARATs pulled off the three-part harmony perfectly—and to everyone’s entertainment, the fan followed through on her plans of marrying SEUNGKWAN and gave him a matching engagement ring.
But just when fans thought it was over, VERNON found one more CARAT to take part in a final “VERY NICE” challenge. The fan delivered a remix version and started with a killer high note, complete with a vocal impression of EDM drops and beats. DK accidentally intercepted early, but the group finished out the song, copying her hilarious and impressive sound effects. Because time flew by, SEVENTEEN had to make a quick exit, but gave their sincere thanks to CARATs for all their creative “VERY NICE” renditions.
The NEW_ tour reaffirms that even after 10 years, SEVENTEEN continues to reinvent themselves and are always growing and learning as artists. Their foray into solo performances and diverse discography solidifies how the group always aims to show new sides to themselves every time they meet with fans. After Los Angeles, SEVENTEEN will finish out the U.S. leg of the ‘NEW_’ tour with shows in Texas, Florida, and Washington D.C., and finally conclude in Japan with a 10-city tour in Japan.
