After their successful first fan meeting earlier this year, FNC Entertainment’s P1HARMONY reunited with their fans at the ‘2021 P1Harmony ONLINE FAN MEETING “P1uspace H : Time To Move Out.”’ Presented by MyMusicTaste, the event brought fans from across the globe together for an unforgettable online experience.
The fan meeting began with Keeho, Theo, Jiung, Intak, Soul, and Jongseob waking up on a deserted island. The studio replicated the sea shore with its expansive LED backdrop and flooring accompanied by calming sounds of the ocean crashing against the shore. Surrounded by wilderness (in the form of well designed props and fake vegetation) with nothing but their light sticks connecting them to their fans called P1ECEs, P1HARMONY are tasked with completing missions in order to send SOS signals to their rescuers, P1ECEs. The fan meeting served as the first event where everyone could test out P1HARMONY’s official light sticks that were just unveiled earlier in the month. The light sticks have Bluetooth capabilities, allowing viewers to pair their light sticks to the show and synchronize the color displays to the music. Together, the members and fans were able to bridge the physical distance for a two-hour event filled with fun missions, special stages, and phenomenal performances.
The fan meeting zigzagged between interactive, game segments and impressive stages and performances. The first mission, called “Time to MAKE P1,” the group was given flasks of different colored sand, each signifying a different personality trait or characteristic. Just like how Professor Utonium created the Powerpuff Girls out of “sugar, spice, and everything nice” and a dose of chemical X, the P1HARMONY members had a ball concocting the best representation of each member’s personalities.
The group then transitioned to the next mission, “Time to Nemonade,” kicking off the segment with the first performance of the night, “Nemonade.” The boys were rewarded with coconut water, allowing them to quench their thirst and prepare for the next segment of the mission. Grabbing the makeshift tree stumps, a guitar, and pom poms, the group gathered around a makeshift campfire and sang energetic covers to keep their spirits up. Jiung kicked things off with his own rendition of Avril Lavigne’s “Girlfriend.” Throwing on a black blazer, he first instructed the members to alternate raising their pom poms into the air during the song’s iconic chorus.
The next mission, “Time to Make 1-P1ECE” led the members on a quick scavenger hunt around the wilderness. Prior to the event, FNC Entertainment put out a call for submissions on P1HARMONY’s official Weverse requesting for fanart submissions to recreate the fan meeting’s poster. Six lucky winners were selected and their submissions were divided into six puzzle pieces that, when pieced together, formed a beautiful art piece. Once the puzzle was completed, the members were left in awe by the surprised gift and the talent that their fans hold.
After completing their final mission, “Time to Send SOS” where the members played a lively game of Cleopatra (a high-pitch game), P1HARMONY were able to send out their distress signal, contact P1ECEs, and rest easy knowing their rescue was underway.
With their worries at ease, P1HARMONY turned their attention to delivering phenomenal performances for their online audience. Keeho and Theo kicked things off with a beautiful cover of “Needy” by Ariana Grande followed by Intak, Soul, and Jongseob’s impressive rap verses and dance cover to “Down Bad” by Dreamville featuring J. Cole, JID, Bas, EARTHGANG, and Young Nudy. The contrasting stages highlighted the members’ versatility and strength as growing young performers.
As their last moments on the island were coming to an end, P1HARMONY wound down the night with a heartfelt performance of “If You Call Me.” The song is especially treasured by the group as all the members participated in writing the lyrics. As night was upon them, they read heartfelt letters to one another as the night signified their “time to move out” of the island.
The final leg of the show featured the group back on stage where they performed back-to-back performances of their high-energy tracks, “Pyramid” and “Reset,” followed by one of the group’s most popular covers — “Maniac” by Conan Gray. For their final send-off, the members expressed their gratitude and endearment for their fans. Holding up a lightstick, the sole device bridging the gap between them and their fans, Jongseob shared that the lightstick helped make him feel at ease. P1HARMONY then closed off the night with a performance of their newest track, “Scared.” With the fan meeting focused around the idea of “moving out,” fans can eagerly anticipate P1HARMONY’s forthcoming music releases that are just on the horizon. Until then, keep up with P1HARMONY on their socials, below!
