[RECAP] JUSTB Embraces Hyperpop Energy at ‘SNOW ANGEL’ Concert in Los Angeles

While most idol group concerts lean on polished staging, elaborate VCRs, and easily digestible earworms, JUSTB’s SNOW ANGEL tour stop on April 24 at the Catch One Disco in Los Angeles felt more akin to walking into a rave. Fueled by booming bass, flashing strobe lights, and high-energy bangers, the final stop of the 2026 JUSTB ‘SNOW ANGEL’ TOUR IN N.A tour fully embraced the chaos and euphoria of the hyperpop genre.

The tour follows the release of JUSTB’s latest EP, SNOW ANGEL, which sees the group fully embracing hyperpop after first experimenting with it in their previous album, JUST ODD. Loud, fast-paced, and layered with distorted synths and chaotic textures, the album felt tailor-made for a heart-pounding concert setting. Although member Lim Jimin is currently on hiatus, members Geonu, Bain, Siwoo, DY, and Sangwoo carried the energy of the SNOW ANGEL tour across 14 cities in Canada and the United States before closing the run in L.A.

JUSTB fans, called ONLY Bs, eagerly lined up outside the venue on the warm Thursday afternoon. The atmosphere shifted the moment they entered, climbed the stairs, and were greeted by a dark blue haze that permeated Catch One’s Disco room, where the concert took place. Despite a few industrial fans running on either side, the room grew warm as ONLY Bs continued to file in, staking their claim on the GA floor or the elevated seating along the room’s perimeter for a clearer view of the stage.

JUSTB kicked the show off with a high-octane bang with “TRUE HEART,” the title track off of their SNOW ANGEL album and embodiment of their hyperpop era. Filled with distorted vocals, buzzy basslines, and rapid transitions, the song felt like stepping into a neon-lit, glitchy video game. The members, dressed in neutral-toned industrial streetwear attire, showcased their precise choreography, highlighted by their rapid footwork during the song’s bridge. A barrage of flashing lights flooded the room to the beat of the music as the members continued with “DOOM x3” and “Snow Angel.” ONLY Bs fell in sync with the music, jumping and waving their hands high in the air with cheers as loud as the songs themselves.

After that explosive opening and brief introductions, JUSTB took it down a notch with more melodic tracks. The fan-favorite “CHEST” drew the loudest of cheers and fanchants from many concertgoers. The day prior, Geonu and Sangwoo held an impromptu dance class to teach the official choreography directly to the lucky ONLY Bs who secured a spot in their class. The members grooved along to “GOING SOUTH,” “SWEATER,” and “BHYT,” as fans could be spotted bopping their heads, swaying to the beat, and hyping up the members during the instrumental breaks. “MEDUSA” served as the perfect track to ease the crowd out of the hyperpop realm and segue into the next performances of the night.

The special stages broke up the setlist’s pacing, carving out time for each member to showcase their individual styles. Siwoo, who soothed last year’s tour attendees with a keshi cover of “Beside You,” took the stage first with yet another keshi song. Bathed in warm red lights that contrasted well with his all-white attire, he serenaded the audience with his own rendition of “Soft Spot.” The sweet love song immediately had the audience vibing and singing along. DY, dressed in all-black leather, tapped into his rockstar persona with his own unreleased track, “Dear My 20, which perfectly channeled the rebellious youth spirit. Next, Geonu and Sangwoo teased the audience with a series of unreleased original hyperpop and EDM music that energized the audience. Some, such as Geonu’s “Ads” and “Alarm 2006,” were later released under the duo’s joint Soundcloud account, electric-strawhole.

Lastly, Bain closed out the special stages with a theatrical solo performance to a medley of Lady Gaga’s viral hits. Bain’s powerful vocals and technical dance moves commanded full attention during “Abracadabra.” He shed his black coat to reveal a white ruffled poet shirt, a black underbust corset, and leather heeled boots before going full out with powerful floor work for “Judas” and “Scheiße.” For “Poker Face,” Bain brought up surprise guests to the stage – Joyce Louis-Jean and Lindsay Webster from the BuzzFeed Celeb podcast, “Phone A Fangirl.” Together, the trio danced and freestyled to the iconic song. For his last song, “Telephone,” Bain abandoned the stage completely and climbed onto a nearby bar counter, much to the surprise of fans in the back of the crowd. Squatting down on the counter, Bain belted the lyrics with them, giving them a show-stopping finale to the medley that left everyone wanting more.

The tour’s tone then shifted gears as JUSTB regrouped on stage, this time performing their throwback with their feel-good pop song, “Still I Luv You.” The momentum continued with “Too Late,” where DY brought out his signature icy blue electric guitar for the pop-rock-driven track.  Before continuing, Geonu teased the audience by noting that many ONLY Bs have been eagerly anticipating this next song. The moment the members launched into the pop-punk anthem, “Daddy’s Girl,” the room immediately erupted into screams. ONLY Bs excitedly shouted every explicit lyric back at the members at full volume, becoming one of the loudest sing-alongs of the night.

As JUSTB took time for the room’s energy to settle, Geonu encouraged everyone to embrace the moment and the people around them for the next song, sharing that he wanted them to feel the love and support that JUSTB and ONLY Bs shared. The warmth carried directly into the next songs, “Hoodie” and “Han Geol Eum Man.” Opening with a strong electric guitar chord from DY, the emotional ballads shifted the focus fully onto the members’ vocals as they serenaded the crowd about their shared hardships and their determination to keep moving forward despite it all. In response, ONLY Bs lifted their phone flashlights high in the air and swayed gently to the music, creating one of the most intimate moments of the night.

The show was now coming to a close, and JUSTB took a moment to reflect on L.A. serving as the final stop of their tour. Geonu acknowledged the bittersweet feeling of reaching the end of the month-long run, while Bain reflected on how it’s been almost a year since he publicly came out onstage during the group’s JUST ODD L.A. concert. He expressed his deepest gratitude to ONLY Bs, shared how much love and support he has received since, and reassured everyone that this was “just the beginning.” DY similarly comforted fans, promising that JUSTB will be back before they know it.

For the concert’s final stretch, JUSTB turned the atmosphere into a party with “FREEDOM,” and encore performances of “CHEST” and “SNOW ANGEL.” The members fully let loose. While some remained on stage to keep the energy high, others jumped offstage to interact with their fans up close. Bain waded through the crowd and greeted fans and friends along the way while Siwoo and DY hung out with the fans in the front row. At one point, DY and the other members even took it upon themselves to help “cool off” fans by pouring and throwing water directly into the crowd.

Ultimately, JUSTB’s last stop of their tour ended the same way it began: with chaotic and euphoric energy that carried it from start to finish. Until the group returns to L.A. again – hopefully as a full six-member lineup – ONLY Bs will undoubtedly be eagerly awaiting their return.
