Following last week’s announcement of his signing to Universal Music Korea, influential hip-hop & R&B artist Bryan Chase teamed up with rapper pH-1 and dropped his first release in nearly two years with the introspective and emotionally charged song, “Show Must Go On.”
This release also marks the start of a new chapter for Bryan Chase, a versatile artist known for blending hip-hop and R&B with melodic flows and a distinctive tone. A member of the legendary Cohort crew alongside Okasian and Keith Ape, Chase first made waves with his 2015 debut EP Lost in the City Part.1 and later reached international acclaim with tracks like “Let Us Prey,” “Walkin (Remix)” and “Underwater Bank” released through 88rising.
Produced by renowned THE BLACKLABEL producer KUSH, “Show Must Go On” explores the resilience it takes to navigate life’s highs and lows — a theme both artists express in their own distinct ways in the song.

Bryan Chase’s opens with raw vulnerability, setting an introspective, almost existential tone as he confronts the emotional numbness that creeps in once the spotlight fades, “Back in the studio, I don’t wanna go home / Don’t like this feeling like, fuck being alone / These demons waiting on me soon as I step out these doors.” His pain culminates in one of the song’s most vulnerable lines: “I’m dying and dead inside / And I can’t die alone.” Yet even in these dark moments, he repeats the mantra “the show must go on.”
In contrast, pH-1 continues the theme from a reflective angle — touching on hidden struggles behind his success — “I got problems that need fixing / But it’s easier just to hide it” — before pivoting toward growth and resilience to overcome: “I been through a lot but I’m good now / Singing on the stage with a big smile.” Together, the two rappers arrive at a shared truth: no matter the circumstances, the “show must go on.”
Now signed to Universal Music Korea, Bryan Chase calls this a “new beginning” and hints at greater ambitions: “We’ve built this from the ground up with love and belief in the music. Now with this partnership, we’re ready to share our sound with the world.”
