K-Pop group ATEEZ will be performing alongside a plethora of artists at IDENTITY 2021 on Saturday, May 15 at 8PM (EST) via Amazon Music’s Twitch channel.
Presented by Amazon Music, IMDb, IMDb Pro, Pacific Bridge Arts Foundation, Gold House, and Transparent Arts, IDENTITY 2021 is a virtual live stream celebration fundraiser for Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Funds raised will benefit Gold House’s AAPI Community Fund and Pacific Bridge Arts’ musical scholarships.
Hosted by Dumbfoundead, SherryCola, and special guest host Kevin Woo, the event’s current performance lineup includes: ATEEZ, Guapdad 4000, wolftyla, MC Jin & Wyclef Jean, Stephanie Poetri, Kalani Pe’a, Koad Apoki, Gabrielle Current, KOAD, Tyler Shaw, Year of the Ox, and Satica. More artists TBA.
According to Pacific Bridge Arts’ official website, Monsta X’s I.M, the LA Rams’ Taylor Rapp, REI AMI, and Clinton Kane. will also make special appearances at the virtual event. Actress Karen Fukuhara (Suicide Squad, The Boys) will also be awarded the IMDB “Fan Favorite” Starmeter Award on air and an Amazon Originals Premiere will be by singer-actor James Reid.
The Pacific Bridge Arts Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a platform to support and Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPIs) pursuing interests in arts and culture. Through the Musical Arts Scholarship program, the foundation has provided AANHPIs with resources to break into the music industry with mentorship, network, and final support to aspiring talents pursuing a degree in musical arts (ex. audio engineering, independent artist, instrumental performance, musical performance, etc.)
The foundation’s first flagship event was the IDENTITY LA festival, a large-scale outdoor music, culture, and arts festival that brings people together to celebrate Asian Pacific Heritage Month. Past K-Pop performers at the event include DEAN, Miso, Saay, 2xxx!, Hoody, Jay Park, Colde, H1GHR Music, and Hyolyn.
