After their success in London, United Cube moved onto Brazil for the first k-pop concert in South America on December 13.
B2ST, 4minute and G.NA performed for their South American following, sponsored by M-live, a global concert brand.
Key Brazilian daily newspaper Estado covered k-pop news on their front page, reporting on k-pop, “They are already highly popular on YouTube globally. The popularity of K-pop has already exceeded that of the world pop.”
It also says, “A boom in Asian culture started from Japan is now moved to Korea. This concert will make the popularity of K-pop spread all over South America.”
Nearly 100 reporters from major Brazilian public TV networks, daily newspapers and magazines crowded into a press interview before the concert.
Concert producer spokesperson from CJ E&M, said, “We had a hard time because there were so many media sources that wanted an exclusive interview although it was a short press interview, which was about an hour and a half long.”
About 5000 fans attended United Cube Concert in Brazil was held on December 14 at 7 p.m. (local time)
