Rock-ballad Korean singer Kim Jang Hoon, who is also been known for his charitable work, recently teamed up with The Los Angeles County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen Foundation to hold a U.S. Tour to raise money for Breast Cancer research.
Since his debut in 1991, he has released over 20 albums and has gained a wide fan base ranging from teens to seniors. Dubbed as Korea’s “Donation Angel,” Kim Jang Hoon has donated over 10 million Korean Won this past decade and has received numerous awards – one even being the “President’s Volunteer Service Award” from United States’ President Barack Obama.
According to the official description from the Kim Jang Hoon Foundation, Kim Jang Hoon plans to fulfill two “miracles” with this tour. The first being “to create a cultural experience in which attendees can not only enjoy a concert, but also contribute to a meaningful cause at the same time.” His second miracle is “to provide attendees an incredible concert experience at a fraction of the cost of others.” The concert tickets are as low as $10 and $20 and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Los Angeles County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen Foundation.
The tour will kick off on April 27 in Los Angeles. More details and tour dates to be announced.
The Kim Jang Hoon Foundation is also looking for talented bassists, keyboardists, guitarists, and drummers to serve as the live band for the multi-city tour. Audition info can be found in the flyer below and on their official site here.
