Hanteo Global, the organizer and host of the Hanteo Music Awards 2024 (HMA 2024), has announced that voting for the “Whosfandom Award” category will officially begin on December 2.
The “Whosfandom Award” is a unique category that honors not only the K-Pop act but also the fandom that demonstrated exceptional engagement and support for them throughout the year. It remains the only award in South Korea that directly celebrates fandoms, making it a meaningful recognition of the synergy between artists and their fans.
For HMA 2024, the voting process will feature a new approach, dividing the competition into male and female artist categories, aiming to increase participation and engagement from fans worldwide.
The voting will occur in two phases:
First Phase (December 2–6, 2024): Voting will focus on the Top 40 male and female artists selected for the “Whosfandom Award”. Fans can participate through the official Hanteo Music Awards X (formerly Twitter) account.
Second Phase (Following First Phase Results): Voting will narrow down to the Top 16 contenders and take place on the global fandom platform, the Whosfan app (IOS/Android), ensuring a seamless experience for international participants.
After the “Whosfandom Award” winners are announced, additional voting rounds for other HMA 2024 categories will continue on the Whosfan app.
