K-Pop Day

The Shops at Skyview welcomes K-Pop idol Moon Jongup for an exclusive meet and greet with the beloved South Korean singer and dancer. He debuted in the six-member group B.A.P, the first K-Pop group to perform in New York’s Times Square.

Moon Jongup recently competed as a solo artist in a Korean reality TV show “Peak Time” for the “Worldwide Idol” title, gaining immediate support from fans all over the world. Skyview’s K-Fun Day will be his first U.S. appearance since competing. He is looking forward to meeting fans in the New York area. Guests can also enjoy live dance performances by AKF Dance Studio on this day.

K-Art Day

Join The Shops at Skyview on Thursday, July 20 for a celebration of K-art. Expect live painting showcasing Korean artist Jason H. Lee, a New York-based mixed-media artist originally from Masan, South Korea. He uses curious and uncharacteristic materials in the creation of his work such as water, fire, matches, recycled sneakers, and more. Flexing his mixed media artistry, Lee will use upcycled sneakers from Nike and Adidas to create a bespoke canvas installation featuring portraits of two K-Pop idols, G-Dragon from Big Bang and Lisa from Blackpink. While watching the live painting showcase, customers can get any t-shirt or canvas sneakers purchased from a Skyview retailer personalized by emerging Korean artists, Jihyo Yu, Jin-Yong Choi, and Jongbum Kim.

K-Culture Day

On Sunday, July 30, The Shops at Skyview welcome guests to experience Korean culture with a K-Beauty workshop by Sephora, Taekwondo demonstration by New York State Taekwondo Association, folk dance performances, and an immersive photo booth with traditional Korean wardrobe. In addition, guests can learn more about traveling in Korea onsite with The Korea Tourism Organization New York and participating airlines.

K-Food Day

To close out the month-long celebration, guests can relish delicious Korean cuisine with a curated food tasting hosted by Skyfood and Everyday Emall on Thursday, August 10. In addition, learn how to mix up custom cocktails using Korean liquors with a mixologist.
