Hwang Min-woo, aka Little Psy shot to fame last year after opening Psy’s Gangnam Style video which became a global viral video.
Since then the 7 year old has appeared in many TV shows and commercials. Hwang also released his own single last March.
According to reports, the Korena police have started investigating an online attack targeted at Hwang
Police have said that 10 members from Ilgan Best (Ilbe.com) are behind an attack on the homepage of the management company who are behind Hwang.
Ilgan Best is a mostly conservative website whose content is mostly about social issues.
The attack took place on April 23, in addition there have been derogatory comments aimed at his heritage and hometown.
Hwang’s mother is originally from Vietnam while his father is Korean. Until recently he lived in Gwangju, which is often the victim of comments from rightwing groups due to the city’s misperceptions about historical events.
Although there has been a rise of multicultural families in the late 90’s, rightwing groups will still voice their opinions.
