KCON LA 2023 Teams Up with ZEPETO for Two Consecutive Years to Offer a Ramped Up Virtual K-culture Experience

Leading entertainment company CJ ENM and ZEPETO launched an upgraded version of KCON WORLD on the ZEPETO app. The KCON WORLD map was first introduced last year, where users could take part in the convention experience virtually. 

This year, the 3D world map is based on KCON LA 2023’s SHOW and Convention concept, and has ramped up its K-POP themed main game and artist interactive elements. ZEPETO users can play the game that draws inspiration from KCON’s theme song POPPIA, and can participate in the POPPIA dance challenge with their avatars. 

At the newly opened Star Zone and Floating Star Booth, users can meet the avatars of certain artists participating at this year’s KCON LA and receive never-before-seen selfies and special voice messages. Also, to mirror the offline KCON ID card system and strengthen the element of realism, players can create their own ID card by actively engaging with the KCON WORLD. Other special gifts prepared by KCON include balloons to cheer for your favorite artist, KCON official fashion items and cheering sticks. 

KCON WORLD will continue to be serviced after the KCON LA 2023  event and users who have certified their KCON WORLD activities will be able to participate in special events where they can support their cherished artists. The KCON WORLD was partially funded by the Ministry of Science and ICT, and  Korea Radio Promotion Association’s Korea Communications Development Fund.
