KCON 2016 Los Angeles Presented by Toyota isn’t done yet with its lineup, in fact, it just added two new stars: Eric Nam and Amber.
The L.A. artist lineup was reportedly complete When boy band Monsta X was announced as the 11th and final act, but now Eric Nam and Amber will join the group of artists at the Staples Center from July 29-31 and Amber will be making a performance at Klub KCON. While the singers get added to the festival, KCON also announced that CNBLUE will no longer be attending the festival, bringing the total number of artists to 12.
Eric Nam was already having his breakout year in 2016, and it only got bigger since performing at KCON New York, where the singer gave the first live performance of his tropical-house collaboration “Into You” for the packed Prudential Center. The Atlanta-bred singer-actor told Fuse he’s prepping the music video for the track along with a new K-pop single in July, all of which will likely be able to be seen ahead of the KCON Los Angeles date. The new music follows up his most recent single, “Good for You,” which became his first Top 10 in Korea, and “Spring Love,” a collaboration with Wendy of Red Velvet.
Meanwhile, Amber has been known as a member of beloved girl group f(x) and recently broke out on her own as a soloist with a slew of singles like “Shake That Brass,” “Borders” and “On My Own.”
According to a press release from KCON, CNBLUE cancelled their appearance “due to a personal issue” according to FNC, CNBLUE’s management company.
