Upon arrival, attendees were given raffle tickets to indicate that they had been waiting, some for over an hour. After receiving their ticket, some stayed by the KCC whereas some broke away for a while before returning when doors opened.
For those who stayed, the staff at the KCC could be seen preparing goodie bags, filling bags with Korean snacks.
The earlier fans were then invited for a tour of ‘Muse London’, the 4th Korean artists exhibition.
The exhibition included works by Kang Eemyun, Kang Seokyung, EE, Lee Wonwoo, Sean Roh, and Shin Kiwoun. For more information, click here.
After not too long, the KCC was filled with enthusiastic K-Pop fans who were either taking photos with the SHINee cut outs in the reception, or reading and watching K-Pop videos in the lower floor. Soon following were fans who failed to retrieve a calendar as they were all distributed within 50 minutes of the doors opening.
The calendar included photos of hallyu stars Super Junior, 4Minute, B2ST, BIG BANG, KARA, T-ara, f(x), Miss A, 2PM, Wonder Girls, 2NE1 and SISTAR. It also came with a support and a frame with stickers to mark holidays, increasing the calendar’s versatility. The frame could be used as a photo frame with the support, the calendar itself could be used as a photo book with all your favourite stars by tearing out the pages for each month. The support could also be used as a paperweight.
In conclusion, the huge enthusiasm of K-Pop and popularity of K-Pop was shown loudly and clearly by the events that took place at the Korean Culture Centre.
Also make sure to check out the ‘Muse London’ exhibition! It will be on show until the 21st of January.
