IU Donates Her Concert Proceeds to Help Victims of Sewol Disaster

Loen Tree, IU’s agency announced recently that all the profits generated from concert tour will be donated to the victims of the Sewol ferry disaster. The sinking claimed the lives of 302 people most of which were students on a high school trip.

IU will be performing 8 shows over 8 days around Korea spread across May and June. IU’s generous donations follows that of British singer, Connie Talbot who donated all her profits from her concert dates in Korea to the ferry accident.

IU is currently preparing to release a revamp of some classic Korean songs with her own unique spin on them.
