Leading entertainment company CJ ENM announced the dates for KCON 2025 in Japan and the United States, gearing up for its flagship “World’s No.1 K-POP Fan and Artist Festival.”
This year’s festivities will kick off with KCON JAPAN 2025, which is set to take place in Japan’s Chiba prefecture from May 9-11, followed by KCON LA 2025 from August 1-3. Further details for venues, artists and ticket information will be announced at a later date.
KCON, a driving force in the global spread of K-pop, is a K-culture festival combining masterfully produced K-pop shows with a convention where fans can experience every aspect of Korean culture – from music and fashion, to television and food.
With unmatched K-pop programming that includes unforgettable fan experiences and engagement directly with artists, KCON has become synonymous with access to the biggest Korean pop stars and all-in-one events devoted to K-culture. This year, KCON aims to present fans, both onsite and online, with more content and immersive opportunities.
KCON began in the United States in 2012 and has since expanded globally in Japan, Hong Kong, Germany, United Arab Emirates, France, Mexico, Australia, Thailand, and Saudi Arabia. Over the past 13 years, it has amassed an attendance figure of around 1.99 million attendees across 14 regions.
In 2024, both KCON JAPAN and KCON LA wrapped up with another phenomenal year, with KCON JAPAN drawing its largest, record-breaking crowd of 140,000, and KCON LA 2024 attracting over 5.9 million fans from more than 170 countries through onsite and through digital platforms. KCON also made U.S. history with the first-ever national primetime broadcast of a K-pop show through The CW Network’s live broadcast. Both Los Angeles and Japan are iconic destinations for K-pop fans worldwide, making them ideal locations for KCON to call home.
