Toward the end of this week, Korean media reported a case taken up by Seoul Police Department’s International Crime Investigation teams. The investigation led to the arrest of entertainment label director Mr Kang and employee Mr Park for their roles in illegal prostitution of female celebrities.
Along wit the arrest of the Mr Kang and Mr Park, four alleged female prostitutes, two clients and three middle men who worked with Mr Kang were also arrested.
The charges against Me Kang and Mr Park involve the prostitution of a famous female celebrity only identified as B and has been indicated only by age (29 years old). Three other females have also been accused of receiving 13,000,000 – 35,000,000 KR₩ per session from a 45 year old businessman for three sessions in a Los Angeles hotel.
The three females were indicated as being minor actresses. The major female celebrity B was said to be “a celebrity anyone would immediately know if her name was mentioned”, which actually could related to a large number of celebrity names.
Female celebrity B was flown to the U.S. by Businessman A paying her 35,000,000 KRW ($29,208) for sex in April 2015. Mr Kang is accused of handling the money for female celebrity B as well as keeping a share for himself.
Mr Kang is also the centre of another charge of illegal prostitution having arranged another deal with a Seoul stock investor C (43 years old) and a female celebrity for 15,000,000 KR₩ ($10,848).
Reports from the investigation team say that Mr Kang was taking advantage of celebrities that were having financial difficulties offering them a high reward for prostitution. The charges against Mr Kang are extremely serious as they don’t just span across Korea but internationally as well.
Rumours by netizens link the high profile celebrity female with G.NA’s latest departure from Cube Entertainment. However there is no substantial evidence that points toward G.NA being the unnamed celebrity.
