Around 16 fans attending a 4minute concert in Seoul died when a grate they were standing on fell through.
The concert goers fell through a ventilation grate, which went down 10 metres into an underground parking area.
Early reports from the scene suggest that the grate collapsed due to the excessive weight from the number of fans who had gathered on the grate to get a better view of the performances.
Seoul’s Yonhap news agency said, “Twelve people were killed at the scene, two others died while they were being rushed to the hospital. Others are assumed to have passed away while receiving medical treatment”.
Reports are still coming through with varying numbers of dead and injured.
