Actor PARK BO GUM will host the 2025 MAMA AWARDS, leading entertainment company CJ ENM announced today. This marks Park’s seventh time hosting the world’s No.1 K-Pop awards, which will take place over two days this year in Hong Kong beginning November 28.
The South Korean heartthrob actor, who rose to fame with the beloved K-drama “Reply 1988,” brought his signature warmth and charisma to the MAMA stages in 2017, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023. Most recently he hosted the 2024 MAMA AWARDS US at the Hollywood Dolby Theatre, marking the awards’ historic U.S. debut.
The world’s No.1 K-Pop awards centers around the concept of “HEAR MY ROAR: UH-HEUNG,” echoing the roar of a tiger — an animal symbolizing Korea’s strength and spirit — while celebrating the power of music to transcend boundaries and unite people across cultures in authentic self-expression. This captures the distinctly Korean spirit of fun and excitement that has captivated global audiences.
2025 MAMA AWARDS returns to Hong Kong for the first time since 2018. Hong Kong has hosted MAMA AWARDS more than any other location, having held the awards for seven consecutive years from 2012-2018. The two-day awards ceremony will be held for the first time at Kai Tak Stadium, located within Kai Tak Sports Park in Hong Kong, starting on November 28.
2025 MAMA AWARDS will also be livestreamed globally through digital platforms through Mnet Plus to reach out K-Pop fans worldwide. The world’s No.1 K-Pop Awards will be co-hosted by CJ ENM and Media Asia Entertainment Limited, and organized by Rolemodel Entertainment Group Limited.
