2024 is starting with a new boy band on the horizon. Pledis Entertainment, the company that houses K-Pop group SEVENTEEN, finally announced they are debuting another group nearly a decade after SEVENTEEN.

TWS stands for “Twenty Four Seven With Us” and has six members, Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, and Kyungmin. Set to officially debut on January 22 with their first mini album, Sparkling Blue, HYBE and Pledis Entertainment have been preparing for their launch through videos introducing their newest group and releasing their pre-debut single, “Oh Mymy: 7s.

The song begins with a classical orchestra before rapidly shifting into an energetic pop number. Effortless changes in production occur throughout the track, adding surprise elements to the song without sounding disjointed.

Some of the strongest portions of “Oh Mymy: 7s” include the smooth harmonies in its pre-chorus and the infectious chorus. Considering they are in their pre-debut stage, they already harmonize wonderfully and sound strong together.

The premise of  “Oh Mymy: 7s” is fitting for a debut as the members sing about their aim to make a memorable first impression with listeners. Prepared to take on a new chapter, the boys of TWS are convinced their synergy and music will have listeners falling in love within seconds.

They already have people obsessed with the song’s liveliness and are raising their appeal with its electrifying choreography. In true Generation Z fashion, the group created a dance challenge for the song, the “#OhMymyChallenge,” perfect for fans to recreate on TikTok. Those who want to take on an additional challenge can learn the entire routine through their dance practice videos.

TWS has a promising future and have shown they have the talent and potential to reach millions. As stated in “Oh Mymy: 7s,” they are young and fresh, which gives them an appeal bound to draw in an audience.
