The multifaceted rapper, producer, founder of GROOVLN (music label with artists like Cold Bay, Chillin Homie, Xydo & nafla), and member of popular K-Pop boy band VIXX, RAVI, breaks his hiatus from music and with the release of his fourth solo EP titled, “ROSES,” via Warner Music Korea.
RAVI, who is credited for the arrangement, composition, and lyrics of all the songs, expresses his various views on “love” in the new EP. In an interview with Korea JoongAng Daily, RAVI explained that he named the album “ROSES” because he likens each of his new songs to being beautiful as roses, each expressing a unique vibrant color. “ROSES” consists of double title tracks “Flower Garden” and “Cardigan (feat. Wonstein)” and B-side tracks “Chee$e (feat. BLNK, Ahn Byeong Woong),” “Roses,” “Freezing Point (feat. Xydo),” and “I Don’t Deny.” (Update: the song “Red Velvet (feat. Jamie)” was recently removed on music platforms after fans of girl group Red Velvet criticized the song’s sexual lyrics. RAVI has since made an apology on GROOVLN’s Twitter account).
