[RECAP] TWICELIGHTS in Los Angeles

“An experience where a spectrum of colors meet, to light up the hearts of Twice and ONCEs.”

TWICELIGHTS‘ in Los Angeles was the first stop of a North American tour for Twice, a chart-topping, charming nine-member girl group diverse in cultural backgrounds, languages, talents, performances, and personalities. The first stop was held at The Forum, an esteemed venue known for hosting major acts such as Drake, Maroon 5, Ariana Grande, along with other K-POP groups such as EXO, GOT7, and BLACKPINK.

When walking into the venue as the pre-concert MVs were playing on the screen, Twice fans, playfully called ONCEs, saw the stands lit by a rainbow of colors emitted from the ocean of blue-tooth controlled CandyBongZ light sticks. The lights served as an amazingly visual experience and emotional experience. ONCEs in the crowd set their CandyBongZs to green to honor Mina, who unfortunately could not stand on stage with the rest of the members. Jeongyeon eloquently put words to everyone’s feelings at the end:

We wanted to be here as nine members on our first world tour. We apologize, but we are touched by all your smiles you gave us, and I hope the next world tour we can return as nine members. Thank you for having us today.
