After breaking yet another set of records with their hit single, “Butter,” Grammy-nominated artists and global icons BTS will be celebrating their 8th anniversary alongside their fans, ARMY, at their highly anticipated online concert, ‘BTS 2021 MUSTER SOWOOZOO.’
SOWOOZOO (which is a translation of their song “Mikrokosmos“) is a two-day event that kicks off on June 13 (BTS’ anniversary) followed by a world tour version on June 14. The shows will be broadcast live from Seoul via the digital live streaming platform, VenewLive, powered by Kiswe. Both nights will feature different setlists (with the world tour concert featuring the group’s foreign-language songs) and new songs will also be unveiled during the event.
“This is a particularly special concert as it is BTS’ 8th anniversary of their debut,” said VenewLive CEO John Lee. “Every year, the seven members celebrate the momentous occasion with their worldwide fanbase, ARMY. This year is highly-anticipated as it will be the first of BTS’ annual two-day ‘Muster’ event that will be live streamed around the world.”
Viewers will enjoy an interactive concert experience devised for audiences around the globe, leveraging visual features such as 4K resolution and Multiview, as well as fan engagement elements. Fans will be able to customize their own viewing experience, choosing which camera angle they want to see, and interact with each other by joining group chat rooms. The concert will also include “ARMY on Air,” where pre-selected fans will be displayed on LED screens during the concert, and “ARMY in Echo,” which features recorded fan chants and cheers from ARMY, which will be played during certain songs on the setlists.
Powered by interactive video company Kiswe, VenewLive teamed up with HYBE and BTS to produce two of their record-breaking online concerts last year. Last June, they hosted BTS’ ‘BANG BANG CON The Live,’ which set a new Guinness Book of World Record for most viewers for a music concert live stream. In October, they followed up with the two-day ‘MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E’ online concerts which amassed 993,000 viewers from 191 countries/regions.
“ARMY continues to prove to be the most dedicated fanbase in music,” said John Lee. “We’re excited to virtually connect fans across the globe with their favorite group through our biggest interactive experience yet.”
