For those of you who have avid Kdrama fans…you will know Lee Min Ho came back recently with highly anticipated drama ‘Faith’. It started airing on the 13th of August and has received a lot of love and attention!
It depicts the love story between a warrior from the Goryeo Period and a female doctor from the present day, their love transcending time and space.
The trend – it seems- in dramas at the moment is time travel. tThere have been so many of them the past couple of months so I first thought oh..here goes another one! BUT I am so pleasantly surprised by how good and frankly addicting it is! Bare in mind only 6 episodes have aired so these are the first impressions!
PLOT
[ad#GA-468-tx-Minaz] Unlike many other tv series, this drama gets right into it with the two main characters meeting in the first episode! No wasting time!! It’s definitely full of action and never leaves you bored at any point.Even though this is a periodic drama and you definitely get the feel of the ‘periodic’, the supernatural aspects of it give it so much more flavour and lightness! For someone who recently fell in love with periodic dramas, I don’t really mind the additional powers one bit because I feel it gives it more of a punch.
The dialogue is also easily understood compare to other periodic dramas where subtitles are a must!
CHARACTERS
The two main characters are endearing however Min Ho’s is still surrounded with mystery! The main actress is so full of energy and portrays a somewhat spoil Gangnam resident quite well with all her complaining! I think both actors have done a SUPERB job so far…and yet again I am left fan girling at how good Lee Min Ho’s acting is! Min Ho and Hee Seon definitely have chemistry on screen, however I think there is much more to be uncovered between them!
The story is just getting started so different aspects of the characters are yet to unfold…which I am really anticipating!
OVERALL
In all honestly I haven’t felt the addiction of a drama for a while until this drama came on..and now I feel like I have to stop myself from watching everything at once otherwise I will have withdrawal symptoms!
Its a definite recommendation for those of you who are hopeless romantics and love periodic dramas!
