[INTERVIEW] A2O MAY Breaks Down U.S. Debut at Wango Tango

Rising popstars A2O MAY made an impactful U.S. debut performance at the iHeartRadio 102.7 KIIS FM Wango Tango Presented by Fiji Airways on May 10, sharing the stage with artists such as Doja Cat, David Guetta, Gwen Stefani, and Meghan Trainor. 

A2O MAY is a multicultural and bilingual girl group with five members—KatMicheShijieQuchang, and Chenyu—from Shanghai, Suzhou, and Hawaii.

Formed by K-Pop pioneer Soo Man LEE under A2O Entertainment, A2O MAY aims to bridge the East and West through their music, fashion, and storytelling. The group was formed by K-Pop pioneer Soo Man LEE and launched under A2O Entertainment. LEE also created the group’s signature genre, Zalpha Pop, which “blends futuristic production with Gen Z and Gen Alpha emotional storytelling, designed for a digitally native global audience.”

Fluent in both English and Chinese, A2O MAY has their eyes set on the global music scene.

Performing to a packed crowd chanting their name and waving purple pompoms in their honor, A2O MAY opened their Wango Tango set with their debut release “Under My Skin,” the quintet’s homage to the famous K-Pop boy group TVXQ’s classic hit “Mirotic.” The girls’ strong stage presence and attractive charisma stood out both during their performance and their ment as they introduced themselves and hyped up the crowd. A2O MAY wrapped up their set with their first-ever live performance of their latest single, “BOSS.” Before launching into the empowering anthem, they declared, “Let us show YOU what a ‘BOSS’ looks like!” The track celebrates confidence and self-worth, leaving a lasting impression on the Wango Tango crowd.
