On October 26, fans gathered outside Weststadthalle Essen for the long-awaited evening with EVNNE on their SET N GO TOUR. Despite the cold fall weather, the line stretched far down the street as fans wrapped in scarves, clutching their lightsticks, waited patiently to go inside. Even before the doors opened, the atmosphere buzzed with anticipation. Conversations shifted between favorite songs, bias picks, and the casual annoyance of trains not arriving on time. Inside, the venue slowly filled with warmth and energy as fans took their spots, ready to welcome EVNNE for their first-ever European tour.
The seven-member boy group under Jellyfish Entertainment, consisting of Keita, Park Hanbin, Lee Jeonghyeon, Yoo Sungeon, Ji Yunseo, Mun Junghyun, and Park Jihoo, formed in 2023 after the members first gained recognition as participants on the survival show “BOYS PLANET.”

Since their debut mini-album Target:ME featuring the powerful title track “TROUBLE,” the group has become known for their dynamic blend of pop, hip-hop, and R&B, along with polished choreography and strong vocal presence. Tracks like “Ugly” and “Badder Love” have further showcased their artistic range, each highlighting a different facet of their sound and identity. “Badder Love” introduces a brighter, more easygoing concept built on a driving pop beat. The song layers sentimental hooks with anthemic energy while bright synths add a dreamy feel to it. In contrast, “Ugly” leans into a darker, club-inspired sound defined by a pulsing bassline and a rhythmic drive. The verses spotlight the members’ rapping abilities adding contrast to the track’s heavy instrumental. Its bold choreography and confident stage execution reinforce their edgier, performance-driven appeal. After offering fans a first glimpse of their stage charisma at KCON Germany 2024, the group’s performance in Essen marked an important next step, a confident showcase of their identity and talent in front of an audience ready to welcome them on their own stage.

As the lights dimmed and the crowd erupted in cheers, EVNNE took the stage with a powerful opening, launching straight into “UGLY” and “TROUBLE,” thus setting the tone for the night. From the first beats, it was clear that their energy translated effortlessly from screen to stage, creating a connection that felt both electric and genuine.
When the music of the first two songs faded and the stage lights turned a deep, glowing red, the atmosphere shifted into something more intimate. The members caught their breath and smiled at the cheering crowd. Looking at the fans, they compared the scene to a volcano: fiery, warm, and full of energy, ready to burst again. Between laughter and playful teasing, EVNNE shared that they were eager to try local German food, mentioning “Haxe,” sausages, and beer, to which fans enthusiastically shouted “kebab!” as a must-try. The exchange added a relaxed, personal touch, giving everyone a brief moment to breathe before the next wave of songs.

EVNNE then continued with some of their newer releases, which instantly reignited the energy. These include tracks like “dirtybop,” “CROWN,” and “Newest.” The crowd danced and jumped along, the entire venue pulsing with the beat. After the high-tempo set, the mood softened as they transitioned into “Birthday.” Before performing, the members asked if anyone in the audience was celebrating. The hall erupted when it turned out there was indeed a birthday girl among the fans, a heartwarming moment that perfectly matched the song’s mellow tone.
The pace picked up again with “K.O.,” a performance that blended confidence and joy in a way that showed just how comfortable EVNNE has become on stage. The energy hit its peak as they followed with “How Can I Do,” one of the group’s favorite songs to perform and a highly anticipated live debut on this tour. Of course, “Badder Love” was also a part of the set, greeted with loud cheers and sing-alongs. Between songs, the members shared lighthearted stories about the new “skills” they have gained on tour, from mastering the art of packing luggage at record speed to being able to fall asleep anywhere, anytime, earning plenty of laughter from the crowd.

The encore was nothing short of pure fun. The members returned to the stage to even louder cheers, matching ENNVE’s energy as if the night had just begun. Jeonghyeon accepted a fan’s Rubik’s Cube and managed to solve it mid-show, a spontaneous side quest that drew laughter and applause.
The seemingly endless encore of “TROUBLE” echoed through the venue and turned it into a sea of voices and movement, everyone united in one last burst of energy before the night came to a close. As the final notes faded, the seven members stood side by side, taking in the smiling faces before them. It was a quiet but powerful moment, the kind that lingers long after the show ends.

With the SET N GO tour coming to an end, EVNNE closed this chapter on a high note, leaving behind lasting memories for fans across continents. The group’s connection with the fans perfectly translated onto the stage, balancing high-energy performances with personable, off-stage moments. They showcased authenticity, teamwork, and a clear passion for their craft, solidifying their position as one of the new-generation acts to watch. As they return home and look ahead to new music and projects, now is the perfect time to dive into their discography, revisit the energy of their live stages, and be excited for what’s to come next.
