2025 is shaping up for a gnarly summer for global girl group KATSEYE. The six-member girl group, consisting of members Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, Sophia, and Yoonchae, kicked off their festival circuit at iHeartRadio 102.7 KIIS FM Wango Tango Presented by Fiji Airways on May 10. Fresh off their comeback promotions in Korea, the group was ready to serve onstage with their first-ever Wango Tango performance.
Sporting neutral-toned, deconstructed matching outfits designed by Gigi Goode and Marko Monroe, Katseye commanded full attention from the moment they stepped on stage and got in position for their bombastic banger, “Gnarly.” “The first time we heard [Gnarly], we knew it was going to be a gag,” shared Sophia on the Wango Tango red carpet. “We knew that this was going to help our vision as artists, as KATSEYE…we‘re just overexcited to release it to the world, and we’re so happy it’s out.”
In a surprising turn, the group opened the song without a backtrack. Whether a happy accident or a deliberate choice, the girls’ professionalism and confidence took center stage. The performance perfectly showcased the song’s sass and self-assured lyrics, with the crowd hyping them up and screaming along to the line, “I’m the shit!” KATSEYE’s confidence soared as they followed up with flawless performances of “Debut,” their smooth B-sides, “My Way” and “Tonight I Might,” before wrapping it up with their previous viral hit “Touch.”
With their new EP, BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, slated for June 27, the girls are eager to unveil a new musical direction that truly captures the essence of KATSEYE. According to a press release, the EP will offer the clearest picture yet of who KATSEYE is as a group — and the powerhouse they’re becoming.
“There’s going to be a song for everyone in [the album]– it’s gonna be a gag,” Manon told Kpopconcerts.com. “We’re so so in love with this EP and we really feel like it encapsulates KATSEYE so well. I just can’t wait for the songs to come out cause I keep listening to them on my own.”
Daniela added, “Be ready because it’s going to be completely different from SIS… Expect the unexpected because it’s gonna be a gag.”

Wango Tango marks the beginning of KATSEYE’s summer takeover. Following the release of BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, the group is slated to perform at Lollapalooza in Chicago and two dates at Summer Sonic in Japan in August.
