88rising, the pioneering and internationally-renowned music and media company globally amplifying Asian talent and culture, and Goldenvoice, the leading West Coast concert promoter, announces the 2025 edition of Head In The Clouds Music & Arts Festival. The festival returns to Brookside at The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA on Saturday, May 31, and Sunday, June 1.
Head In The Clouds (HITC) has brought its unique programming to New York City, Jakarta, Manila, and China in recent years and now returns home to Los Angeles where it will serve as a celebration of Asian-centric music, art, and cuisine. Described by Rolling Stone as a “who’s who’ of top Asian talent,” HITC brings its biggest lineup yet with headliners G-Dragon, 2NE1, Dean, DPR Ian, Rich Brian, Porter Robinson (DJ Set), a highly anticipated Higher Brothers reunion, The Magic Show?!? and 88rising’s 10-Year Anniversary Finale.
HITC marks G-Dragon’s exclusive 2025 North American Festival performance. One of the biggest global stars who has transcended K-pop, G-Dragon, will be joined by other notable superstars of the genre 2NE1, the pioneering and highly influential K-pop girl group, and Dean, the Korean R&B phenom. Other highlights include DPR Ian, the Australian-born singer who has become one of the world’s most streamed K-pop solo artists; Rich Brian, the 88rising-signed rapper and singer; and the long-awaited reunion of Higher Brothers, the Chinese rap group who became one of China’s biggest musical exports; a mysterious set titled “The Magic Show !?!” which calls to mind a certain similarly titled smash album; and the always-anticipated 88rising finale set which promises to bring together a host of artists from across the label’s 10 year history. In addition to the music, food curation will be led by MAMA’S NIGHTMARKET who will showcase a variety of Asian food vendors from across the diaspora.
Celebrating its 10-year anniversary, 88rising has become one of independent music’s biggest success stories. Against all odds, they rose from humble beginnings to be the preeminent global record label and media company focused on Asian culture. They broke down barriers as the first label to have an Asian artist top Billboard’s “Hip-Hop/R&B” chart, the first label to launch an all-Asian radio channel in North America, and the first and only label to have their own slot on Coachella’s legendary main stage. 88rising has also made forays into film, executive producing and curating the soundtrack to Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings – Marvel Studios’ first Asian-American superhero. It later continued its big screen endeavors with Jamojaya, which premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival starring multi-hyphenate Rich Brian and was executive produced by 88rising founder & CEO Sean Miyashiro. The label is home to leading artists Joji, Jackson Wang, NIKI, Rich Brian, and more.
