Less than two weeks since the unveiling of the music video, the full drama version for SHINee’s latest Japanese single, “1000 Years, Always Be By My Side…” was released!
The 15-minute clip further explains the story of a father’s wish to save his ailing son. The father had been killed in an accident prior to the events in the video, but remained on Earth to watch over his son who is terminally ill. SHINee played the roles of grim reapers (also represented in the form of black cats,) patiently waiting for the son to pass away so they can send him off to Heaven with the other souls. As his son’s condition worsened, the father made a last dash effort to save his son. Defying fate, he performed a miracle (symbolized as the opening of the chest of balloons.) and successfully prevented his son’s death. After completing his duty on Earth, the father’s boarded the bus to Heaven, finally able to rest in peace.
