Choo Chang-min’s “Masquerade” attracted over 1 million cinema goers in the first four days of opening.
The Korean Film Council released the box office data. “Masquerade”, starring Lee Byung-hun, saw 1,281,304 at the box office recorded on Sunday.
“Masquerade” is an historical film set around Gwanghaegun who was the 15th king of the Chosun Dynasty, epically he was dethroned during a coup.
Other films doing well in Korea at the moment are “Resident Evil 5: Retribution”, “Pieta”, “The Bourne Legacy”, “Wolf Children” and “The Traffickers”.
