In a recent interview on YG-Life, YG Entertainment‘s CEO, Yang Hyun-Suk, revealed more info on their anticipated girl group.

In regards to their debut, YG stated that they will be “adopting a debut method that is utterly different from the conventional debuting ways that was applied to other YG girl groups.” The upcoming girl group will debut individually and/or in pairs beginning this October. Rather than debut them as the full group, YG Entertainment wants to observe how the public responds to each of the girls. Fans are already anticipating phenomenal pre-debut promotions for the girls, similar to the large teddy bear balloon above YG HQ for Lee Hi‘s comeback.

The article also stated that the group originally consisted of ten members, but after further auditioning was narrowed down to six talented girls. One of the six is confirmed to be Eunbi Kim, who was discovered on Superstar K. Fellow Superstar K contestant Yuna Kim, however, will not be a part of the group due to personal reasons.

The interview will be continued tomorrow with the news about yet another Superstar K member, Kang Seung-Yoon, who may also be another candidate for a debut.

Stay tuned for Part 2!
